FALESIA
Falesia
/fuh-lee-zuh/ * noun
The disquieting awareness that someone’s importance to you and your importance to them may not necessarily match.
- John Koenig
MY LIFE LESSON :
There are no fixed definitions for friendships, romantic relationships, none of it. It is fluid, like water, defined by the body that holds it.
THIS COLLECTION :
This collection depicts my journey through this realization. It starts with fixed structural garments and loosely woven fabric representing my rigid yet fragmented perception of social structures. It then transforms, breaking through the structural garments with tightly woven fluid fabrics, taking shape of the body itself rather than the structure. .
COLOUR PALETTE :
The colour palette enhances this story, moving from strong deep reds to more vibrant oranges, an offspring of red: equally as powerful but with space for change
